The Ruger Wrangler is a 22 caliber single action only western style revolver based off of the Single Action Army design. The Wrangler is a 6 round revolver chambered in 22LR which makes for an affordable plinker that doesn’t sacrifice value for a low price. The Wrangler is the latest single action revolver from Ruger and is the more economical version of the company’s Single-Six series. The Wrangler differs from the Single-Six series in that the construction of the revolver consists of an aluminum alloy rather than steel. The light weight aluminum alloy frame also sports an integral rear notch sight and durable black cerakote finish. A blade front sight is fixed to a cold hammer forged 3.75″ barrel to complete the sight picture and deliver exceptional accuracy. Safety is provided by a transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock. Simply flip the loading gate open and the barrel spins freely to load and unload the firearm without fear of an accidental discharge. The Ruger Wrangler shares the same hammer, trigger, small parts, grip and size as Ruger’s more expensive Single Six making a number of grip and holster options readily available.
